Helloooo 2025! I'm ready to kick off the wedding season with some *fresh* ideas and trends.
Here are my predictions for the upcoming wedding year.
- DJ DO NOT PLAY LISTS. Not down to listen to the chicken dance on your wedding night? No problem. Kindly ask your DJ if you can submit a short and sweet "do not play" song list.
- BACKYARD WEDDINGS. Just...yessss! It's so romantic and intimate. You'll forever remember the special memories you made there every time you set foot in the yard. Not sure where to start? Consider hiring a planner or working with a vendor that can give you plenty of ideas. You'll want help on the wedding day to make everything go smoothly for you to enjoy the day and not stress. Perfect for all budgets, too!
- GREENERY ONLY BOUQUETS. Go sans flowers! There are so many greens that can make a statement with no flowers needed. You can go with fresh greens or even dried options!
- EMBROIDERED DETAILS. Similar to lace, these romantic details give your wedding dress/bridesmaids dresses/tuxedos texture and a unique, memorable element. Consider colored embroidery on your veil or tie if you don't want a pop of color in your dress/tux!
- SWANS. Hear me out on this one...you might not invite actual swans to the event but their depiction is actually SO romantic and simple. You can pair swans with literally any color scheme (I'm personally imagining powder blue) and it will be *eeeek* so good.
- REVIVAL OF THE 80s/90s WEDDING CAKES. Sure, a multilayer cake with accents and colors and perhaps even edible glitter is a bit "over the top"....but WHY NOT? It's your wedding day and these kinds of cakes were a trend for a reason. Take a photo out of your parent's wedding album and bring it straight to the bakery. Perhaps even add a SWAN TOPPER to your cake...!!!!!
